Jannice Joseph
Jannice is an AFTA Certified Personal Trainer.
She is also CPR & AED certified.

I have been into fitness since I started running track back in high school.  My journey has taken me from running for weightloss to teaching kickboxing for three years while attending school as a way of keeping me accountable.

I will be teaching the Saturday bootcamp classes and following the Tosca Rean Clean Eating plan, not as a diet but as a lifestyle change.  I believe in motivating others because in doing so I motivate myself.  I am especially dedicated to empowering women to find their inner strength through God, education, and fitness, and everything else will fall into place. :)

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Paralegal Studies and minor in Business. I also currently hold a J.D. from Washington and Lee School of Law.  I attend Life Church (formerly Lakeline) and have been a member since 2000.

My Journey to Better Health
At the age of 42, I was overweight, depressed, had problems with my cholesterol and was experiencing heart palpitations. My doctor told me I had to go on medicine to lower my cholesterol unless I changed my eating habits and lost weight.

Ideally I needed to lose 40 lbs. I started Weight Watchers but I also eventually had to move. This was not easy for me. I hated exercise! Stuck in a weight loss plateau, I finally found an exercise that I enjoyed. For me, that was a dance fitness class. I lost the 40 lbs and reached my doctor recommended ideal weight! I NEVER would have thought this journey would take me to such extremes!

I went from unhealthy and unfit to PASSIONATE about health and fitness! In August of 2011, I earned my certification for Personal Trainer and another as Group Exercise Instructor. My whole journey to better health ended up being a life changing one in so many ways...not just physically, but also mentally and spiritually. It's become my passion to share what I've learned with other women.
